CEO

Prof. Dr. Fiebig is the founder and CEO of ONCOTEST, as well as an appointed professor of internal medicine and hematology at the medical department of the University of Freiburg.
Prior to founding ONCOTEST, he served as Deputy Director  of the Clinic for Tumor Biology at the University of Freiburg, as a cancer expert at the NCI, Division of Cancer Treatment in Frederick, MD, USA, as senior physician at the Medical Clinic of the University of Freiburg with an emphasis on clinical phase I and II studies in oncology and hematology, and as physician at the Medical Clinic at the University of Freiburg. He is author and coauthor of about 245 scientific publications and received his postgraduate training at the German Cancer Research Centre (DKFZ) in Heidelberg and is board certified in internal medicine, hematology and medical oncology.

CSO/ COO

Before joining ONCOTEST as CSO/COO in 2007, Dr. Thomas Beckers served as department head in the cancer divisions of Altana Pharma AG (now Nycomed) in Constance and Asta Medica AG in Frankfurt/Main, where he worked on oncology drug discovery and functional genomics for 16 years. He is author and coauthor of more than 50 scientific publications and holds a degree in biology and a PhD degree in biochemistry from the J.W. Goethe University Frankfurt, Germany. He received a training as a  postdoc at the Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School in Boston, USA.
